Think of me
By
Peter Andrew Gunnis
Will you think of me when I’m gone
How many tears will be shed?
An absence of love
An abundance of regret
Living the life of a fool
Is easier than you think
The pain inside away from view
The mask gets heavier every day
Look into my eyes my dear
Don’t be scared by what you see
The windows to my soul are open
You won’t see anything but your reflection
Happiness a luxury of joy
Don’t try to make sense of this
The sadness of living here
Love will only die if it blooms
I tell some of my stories through my poetry too.

Sometimes it is easier to put things down on paper than to actually try to explain them to people.
I would love to read some of yours sometime, if you don’t mind.
